The FFD lock box program is a 100% volunteer program designed to provide emergency access to buildings prior to subscriber arrival. It is the responsibility of the business to keep updated and accurate subscriber information with their respective alarm companies. Businesses must, during every alarm after work hours, have a subscriber respond to the scene in a timely manner. In the event of a false alarm, the business must take note and communicate to their alarm company where the false alarm was to help facilitate, diagnose and fix the reason for the false alarm.
The Fairmount Fire Department reserves the right to deny anyone entry into the program or return any existing business’ key, thus terminating their participation, at any time, for any reason.
Chronic or habitual false alarms or the inability to produce a subscriber in a timely manner are examples of reasons to terminate existing members of the program.
